The Greenbrier draws in many tourist throughout the year but they have a few famous people who live on the grounds.

West Virginia does not see many pros living here, but several PGA golfers have homes here in the Mountain State. Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson and Keegan Bradley all have homes at the Greenbrier. Cam Huffman is the Director of Public Relations at the Greenbrier and explained what it means to the Greenbrier and the state to have them here.

“West Virginia doesn’t produce a lot of professional golfers but these guys kind of become West Virginians once they become a part of the Greenbrier. The state really adopts them and cheers for them and its great to see so fan favorites making a push,” Huffman said.

Professional golfer Bubba Watson said he loves coming to the Mountain State and playing in front of the West Virginia fans.

“Every time at this event the fans show up the state shows up its an honor and a thrill to play here you know I have a house here so being a member at the sporting club at the Greenbrier it’s a blessing to be able to just go home a couple minutes away so it’s really nice,” Watson said.

Huffman said Bubba Watson has had a home at the Greenbrier for the past four years, Phil Mickelson has had a home the last two and Keegan Bradley is in the process of building his home.
