The second annual West Virginia Renaissance Festival is retuning to Lewisburg.

With just little over a month away, renaissance lovers are getting people excited for what is to come. This year there will a variety of different activities for the whole family to enjoy, from jousting, magic, live music and elephant and camel rides. Owner of the West Virginia Renaissance Festival, Taso Stavrakis, said this is an event you do not want to miss.

“We have lots of new acts coming this year that were not here last year,” Stavrakis said. “It is really kid-friendly this year too, we added a lot of puppet shows and more stuff for the kids to enjoy,”

The festival will take place over four weekends June 8 – 30. Tickets are $16 and can be bought in advanced online or at the door. The first weekend is dedicated to warriors; meaning first responders and military personnel get in for free.
