Now that Thanksgiving is over, it is time to start thinking about the next holiday: Christmas! The Greenbrier is in the holiday spirit, as the resort is filled from top to bottom with Christmas decor.

Christmas trees and garland fill nearly every room and hallway, with thousands of lights and ornaments. With so many decorations, it takes time and patience to transform the resort into a winter wonderland. So much time, the process begins October 30th.

However, Director of Social Activities at the resort ,Betsy Conte, said guests do not mind seeing the transformation a few months early.

“Oh the guests love to see us decorate and it just kind of transforms the hotel. I think everyone was fine. They know it takes a lot of time to get everything dressed,” Conte said.

The festive decor has been on display for nearly 30 years, and with such positive reactions from guests, Conte said the over the top holiday atmosphere will likely continue for many years to come.

“We always look forward to the guests coming year round, but certainly during our wonderful days of holiday cheer,” Conte said.

The holiday decorations will be on display at The Greenbrier until January 2nd, 2019.
