Greenbrier County

The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine has been searching for their next president and they have narrowed it down two candidates. The current president, Dr. Michael Adelman is retiring in June 2018.

The school held a national search and held the preliminary interviews earlier this month. The Presidential Search Committee will have the two candidates visit in January to meet with several campus groups .

Leslie Bicksler, Associate Vice President of Human Resources, says people in the community will have the opportunity to speak with the candidates next year.

“They will interview with a whole range of constituency groups, faculty staff, students, community members, legislature leaders, everyone will be invited to interact and to provide their feedback as to who they think will be the next best president for WVSOM,” Bicksler said.

The public will have the opportunity to hear both of these candidates speak at a Community Presentation. On Monday, January 8th Dr. Eshenaur will present and on Wednesday, January 17th Dr.Nemitz will present.
