Investigators said a large structure fire along Main Street in War, McDowell County, was set intentionally Wednesday morning. Officials confirm there are several suspects and charges will be filed.
No names have been released at this hour.

According to McDowell County Dispatchers the call came in around 5:17 a.m. on Wednesday.
Nine different fire departments were called to the scene of the fire in the city of War, McDowell County. The fire started on Main Street in the McDowell Pharmacy building and Kids Care Clinic.
J.D. Lawson is the Deputy Fire Chief in War. He told 59 News these buildings hold a historic weight for their community.
“You know I grew up here and I don’t want to see anything destroyed on Main Street. There is a good chance it won’t be built back and it’s just a shame to lose something like this,” Lawson said.
Lawson said his firefighters are grateful for the help of other stations in fighting the flames.
“It’s a very big team effort. Obviously when you have a fire of this magnitude we need lots of help. So we are very appreciative to the other departments that came to help us,” Lawson said.
Lawson also said that no injuries were reported in connection with the fire. According to the West Virginia Fire Marshal, the fire is still under investigation.
