Bluefield State College holds tax help workshop to help people file taxes

Bluefield State College is offering a tax help workshop throughout tax season. At the workshop people will be able to get their taxes done for free by faculty and students at Bluefield State College. 

Paris Lester, an Accounting Professor at BSC, said the schools workshop is a great tool for the community. 

“We’ve got software that the IRS approves of it’s called Tax Slayer, its furnished to us for free,” Lester said. “And unlike other tax services we can efile their state and their federal for free. So it costs them nothing.”

To participate in the workshop, people need to make an appointment. The workshop is held every Wednesday during tax season from 4 p.m  until 7 p.m. in the W. Paul Cole School of Business Mahood Hall in room 310.
