The Princeton Railroad Museum officially launched its own board game, Princeton-opoly. The game is based on widely-popular, Monopoly, but uses businesses from around Princeton.
Patricia Smith, Director of the Princeton Railroad Museum, said the game was made to raise money for its new Model Train Room, which will feature a model of the famous Virginian Railroad.
“It’s going to have a coal mine, a tunnel, a coal camp, over passes, and a little part of Princeton. It will be a panorama so people can see what the Virginian Railroad looked like,” Smith explained.
The Model Train Room will take about a year to finish and will require thousands of dollar to design.
Princeton-opoly is $30 and can be purchased at the Princeton Railroad Museum or at Princeton City Hall. The game can also be shipped.
