High School football in West Virginia kicks off this week. The first day of official practice for football was Monday, July 30.
The Princeton Tigers held their first practice at H.P. Hunnicutt Field to get ready for the upcoming season.
Chris Pedigo is the head coach of the Tigers. He said they are excited to be back on the field.
“It’s finally here, we’re excited. Guys have been here working. We’ve been working since the Monday after Thanksgiving so this is long over due and were ready to get back out on the field and get going,” Pedigo said.
The Tigers are looking to improve on their 1-9 record from last season with having many returning players.
