As the Christmas holiday weekend approaches, recent rain is putting a damper on one local attraction.  The City of Bluefield, WV has announced that the Holiday of Lights display has been temporarily suspended.

The display is located at the Bluefield City Park.  The city chose to stop people from driving through the lights on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018.  According to a release, there are flooding conditions on the route through the park.

The city did not have any word on when the Holiday of Lights would reopen.
