A new fitness center in Princeton opened its doors to the public Monday, April 29.

Iron Asylum is offering a positive, welcoming space for everyone to burn off some calories by lifting weights and training with their friendly staff members.

Owner and manager Kristian Moorman said the goal of his gym is to help West Virginians stay active, while bringing a new fitness option to the area.

“Our original idea here was to bring something to Princeton, which is a gym that not only includes bodybuilding and functional fitness, but also brings in more of a power-lifting and strongman/strongwoman feel to the area.” Moorman said.

Although memberships for Iron Asylum are available now, the gym plans to have its grand opening in the beginning of June.

General membership starts at $50 per month for an individual with family plans available as well. Full information can be found on the Iron Asylum Facebook page.
