The Mercer County Airport is hosting its Wings and Wheels Car and Air Show on Saturday May 26, 2018.
People who attend the show will be able to see the Red Tail Squadron, which is a Tuskegee Airmen tribute. They will have one of their historical planes on site for people to see.
People will also be able to witness a skydive from a team out of Cincinnati, OH. Clint Ramsom, the Director at Mercer County Airport, said there will be something for every remember of the family to enjoy at the event.
“We have the Tuskegee Airmen mobile museum that’s called the “Rise Above Exhibit”. It’s a movie theater experience that shows a 30 minute movie about the Tuskegee Airmen and the P51. We are bringing the P51 up all the way from Mississippi to do the air show demonstration,” Ramsom said.
The event will start at 9 a.m. and go until 3 p.m. People are allowed to park at King Tire, and a free shuttle will take them to the airport. The event is free to the public.
