Still no leads for hit-and-run in Mercer County

At around 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1st, a woman was hit by a vehicle in the Brushfork area of Bluefield. Mercer County Deputies responded to the scene and the vehicle was nowhere to be found.

The victim was rushed to Roanoke for treatment, the extent of her injuries are still unknown. Detective Logan Addair said the department is turning to the community for answers.

“At this time we’re pretty much just seeking help from the community, hoping that someone can reach out with some information,” said Addair. “If there’s anybody that has information they can contact the Sheriff’s Department at 304-487-8364.”

Detective Addair said to keep an eye out for any suspicious behavior, especially involving a vehicle. He hopes the victim will be able to make a statement and provide more information.
