ATHENS, WV (WVNS) — Concord University hosted a guest speaker from the Mineralogical Society of America to talk with students.

Joshua Feinberg came all the way from the University of Minnesota to speak with students. He spoke with geology majors on Wednesday, October 23 2019, about minerals and what we can learn from them.

“We can actually use the physics of minerals, specifically their magnetism to actually learn all about things like climate change, public health, and pollution, archaeology, biology as well. It’s all sorts of things that magnetic materials that occur naturally can tell us about,” Feinberg said.
