MONROE COUNTY, W. Va. (WVNS) — Two people are facing drug charges after deputies said they found the couple passed out in a vehicle with drugs inside.

Deputies said on Tuesday, January 30, they were called to a store on U.S. 219 and Route 3 where they found Jason Tucker and Angela Battaile passed out in a running vehicle. Deputies said Tucker had a digital scale and several bags full of a crystal-like substance, believed to be meth. Deputies arrested both Tucker and Battaile.

In an interview, Battaile told deputies Tucker was her husband and both of them are drug users. Battaile said Tucker had given her meth 5 or 6 times within the last three days. Battaile was cited for possession of a controlled substance and released.

Deputies said Tucker admitted he did have intentions of selling the meth officers found inside of the vehicle. Tucker was arrested for possession with intent to deliver and 2 counts of delivery of a controlled substance. Tucker was arraigned by the Monroe County Magistrate Court and made a $5000.00 bond.

Deputies said more charges are expected to be filed.
