LATEST: Planned power outage for Monroe County rescheduled

UPDATE:  The planned power outage in Monroe County has a new date.  According to the County Commission, MonPower has rescheduled an earlier outage that was canceled.  It will now take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018.

As a result of the outage, the Monroe County Courthouse will be closed on Monday.  The courthouse will reopen for regular business on Tuesday, Aug. 14.


UPDATE: The Monroe County Commission has been informed that a planned outage by MonPower has been canceled.  Because of the change, the Monroe County Courthouse will be open for regular buisness on Friday, Aug. 3.


ORIGINAL STORY: A planned power outage in Monroe County leads to the shutdown of the courthouse.  The Monroe County Commission announced that the building will be closed on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018.  

MonPower planned the outage on Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  

The Commission apologized for the inconvenience the closure will cause.  The Courthouse will reopen on Monday, Aug. 6, 2018 for regular business.
