PETERSTOWN, WV (WVNS) — As the entire state prepares for the primary election, one county will also be voting on a levy for its volunteer fire departments.
In May 8, 2018, Monroe County voters will be deciding on renewing its levy. If it passes, the money will pay for insurance, personal protective equipment, vehicle purchases and maintenance, among other things. Nearly $200,000 would be distributed among five fire departments, including Alderson.
