The May 2018 session of the Monroe County grand jury has returned nearly two dozen indictments. There are 19 people who are facing 46 felony charges.
The most serious charges included murder and sexual assault. More than 26-percent of the indictments were directly drug related.

Among those who were indicted is Judy Wooten, who is accused of killing William Comer, Jr. in November 2017. Comer was found shot in the in head. Wooten is facing a murder charge.

Michael White is accused of killing Leslie McFall in October 2017. He was indicted on charges of involuntary manslaughter and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Charges of third degree sexual assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor were returned against Austin Richardson.
Indictments are merely an accusation. Defendants are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
