Deputies: Two men involved in Pocahontas County stabbing

BARTOW, W. Va. (WVNS) — Deputies with the Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Department responded to a stabbing in Bartow on Friday, January 19.

Deputies told 59News they received the call around 4:30 p.m. from Staunton-Parkersburg Turnpike. They said two men stabbed one another. 

Only one of the men will face charges, according to investigators.

The suspect was taken to a hospital in Roanoke, Va. for medical treatment, while the victim was taken to Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Deputies did not identify the suspect or release the charges he will face. The case remains under investigation.
