The grand jury in Pocahontas County wrapped up on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. According to Prosecuting Attorney Gene Simmons, among the 30 indictments returned were 18 for various drug charges.
On Thursday morning, Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Deputies and West Virginia State Troopers headed out to round up the suspects. The law enforcement officers ranks were swelled by 12 troopers from neighboring counties.
By Thursday afternoon law enforcement officers had arrested all but four the suspects. Those four are expected to be arrested in the next few days. They are facing charges ranging from simple possession to manufacturing drugs.
