Caregivers gathered at the Raleigh County Commission on Aging building for the 10th Annual Compassionate Caregiver Conference.
The conference provided caregivers and community members help to identify what resources are available to them.
Crystal Foley, General Social Worker for the Commission on Aging, said they hold this conference to let people know they are not alone when it comes to caring for a loved one.
“A lot of caregivers do not realize that there are resources available that can help them,” Foley said. “They feel like they are trapped, it’s just them and their loved ones taking care of them and there is nobody else in their shoes.”
If anyone was unable to attend the conference, contact the Raleigh County Commission on Aging for more information.
