BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — A man who was caught driving while under the influence with a child in the backseat is facing criminal charges.
Officials arrested Michael Bruce Arnold, of Shady Spring, on Sunday July 29. Officers said they pulled over a car that was swerving along Robert C. Byrd Drive. Officers reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol and said Arnold had blood-shot, glassy eyes.
Arnold allegedly blew a blood alcohol content of .113. The legal limit is 0.08.
Inside the car, was a 6-year-old. Arnold was arrested and is charged with DUI with child endangerment.
