Crews respond to barn fire behind 59 News station

GHENT, W. Va. (WVNS) — Firefighters responded to a barn fire behind the 59 News station Wednesday afternoon. 

The fire happened at a barn along Oak Creek Road in Ghent around noon. 

The Ghent and Beaver Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene. Firefighters confirm that an adult goat and some newborn goats were killed in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
