ODD, W. Va. (WVNS) — Crews responded to an accident on Flat Top Mountain Friday morning after a snow-covered tree fell onto a truck.

Firefighters with the Ghent Volunteer Fire Department said a man was driving along Odd Road when a tree fell on top of his vehicle.

No injuries were reported but Odd Road was blocked as crews worked to get the tree off the truck.

Crews want to remind drivers to be cautious of snow-covered trees.  “With this large amount of snow, it can cause issues on trees.  You can tell in this area, a bunch of trees are dead.  Definitely a time of year you have to be cautious,” firefighter Andrew Lefler said.
