Deputies with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office have announced they will be setting up a sobriety checkpoint on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017. They will be on hand from 6 p.m. to Midnight along WV Route 16 in Bradley, WV. There will be an alternate location on County Route 8 in Beckley, WV.
Deputies will be checking for people who are driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. They will also be raising awareness about the risks of drunk and drugged driving as well as the consequences. The checkpoint is being funded by a grant from the West Virginia Commission on Drunk Driving Prevention.
