Ghent, W.Va. (WVNS) — Residents in Ghent held a spaghetti dinner at the Ghent Volunteer Fire Department on January 14, 2018.

The event was all to help raise funds for medical treatments for P.J. Brogan, who was recently diagnosed with stage-four lymphatic cancer.

Brogan helped many people throughout the years and now the community, including his mother-in-law Terry Farner, is returning that favor. “He’s helped a lot of people out in the community,” Farner said.  “We’re happy that the community is coming back to help him out when he needs it.”

If you would like to financially help P.J. in his battle against cancer, click here to go to his GoFundMe page.
