The Erma Byrd Center and Allied Health Wing collaborated Wednesday to bring public awareness to maintaining a healthy lifestyle today with a Health Fair.
The Halloween themed event brought students and the general public information on substance abuse prevention, flu shots, vision checks, and more.
Red Cross Blood Mobile was available for donations and different vendors brought food and candy.
Lisa Moten, the director at Erma Byrd Higher Education Center, said she was excited about all the different health information that was shared at the fair. But to her, one thing stood out in importance.
“What is most important to me is to see the students that are majoring in the allied health fields get that hands on practice under the guidance of a faculty member” Moten said.
This was the Sixth year the Health Fair was held at the Erma Byrd center, and organizers are already looking forward to the next one.
