The Lilly’s are getting ready to kick off their 89th Family Reunion celebration starting tomorrow on their 35-acre grounds in Flat Top. In the past, the event has held the Guinness World Record for largest family reunion after counting over 2,500 attendees from 2009-2012 with 2,3000 of those being just Lillys!

You don’t have to be a Lily to join in the fun, though. Anyone attending can enjoy complimentary entrance, parking, entertainment, an ancestry search and games for children of all ages.

“We get together as an example of a family reunion,” says President of the Reunion Darrell Lilly. “That’s what basically do, we honor God, veterans and we honor the Lilly name and promote family get-togethers, a lot of the families will come and have their own little reunion here.”

Being a military family and having some Lilly’s move out of West Virginia, family members are flying in from all over the world for the celebration, some traveling from as far as California, Oregon and England.
