One arrested, two on the run after shots fired call

RALEIGH COUNTY, W. Va. (WVNS) — One man has been arrested and two men are still on the run after deputies responded to a shots fired and robbery call Thursday night. 

Deputies tell 59 News the incident happened at a home on Hoist Road in the Stanaford area. 

Deputies said when one of the homeowners answered their door, three men barged inside. One of the men reportedly hit a woman with a gun. She was eventually able to run away and call for help. 

Deputies said a single-shot was fired outside of the home.  They said the suspects also got away with a Play Station. 

One of the three suspects ran but deputies eventually caught and arrested him. He has been identified as Vernon Shahiem Robinson. 

The two other men are still on the run.  Deputies said they left the scene in a car with a woman driving.  No description of the two suspects have been released at this hour. 

No injuries were reported. 

Robinson is charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, nighttime burglary and fleeing on foot. He’s being held in the Southern Regional Jail.
