Police search for man charged with dealing heroin

A pair of men from out of state are accused of being a part of a drug trafficking ring between Detroit, Michigan and southern West Virginia.  A pair of search warrants were issued on Nov. 16, 2018 by members of the Raleigh County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.

The locations searched were on Prince Street and Harper Road.  Marijuana, guns and a large amount of cash were found at the home on Prince St.  Heroin, guns and money were found at the house on Harper Road.

Cornelius Pope of Detroit is charged with two counts of Delivery of Heroin and Fentanyl.  Raymond Talbott, III of Columbus, Ohio is charged with two counts of Delivery of Heroin.

Both Pope and Talbott were released on bond.  Pope is currently the subject of a search after he failed to appear for a preliminary hearing.  Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of West Virginia at 304-255-STOP (7867).  Tips can also be left online at the Crime Stoppers website or by using the P3 Tips App on any Apple or Google device.
