The Women’s Resource Center is now looking for volunteers. The center serves Raleigh, Fayette, Nicholas and Summers Counties and they’re forming event committees for each county. These event committees will be responsible for putting on fundraisers and awareness events in their respective areas.
“When you talk about domestic violence affecting one in four women and one in seven men, then there’s a lot of survivors in the world that might want to give back to an organization. Sometimes volunteering at the actual facility is hard for people,” Public Relations Coordinator for the Women’s Resource Center, Dee Sizemore, said.
Sizemore said people of all ages are invited to volunteer, if you’re below the age of 18 you can still participate with a parent or guardian present. To get involved, contact Dee Sizemore at (304)-255-2559 or dsizemorewrcwv@gmail.com.
