Traffic stop leads to drug bust, 3 arrested

MACARTHUR, WV (WVNS) — A traffic stop in the MacArthur area of Raleigh County ended with 3 people arrested on drug charges. 

Deputies said they pulled over a car near Mills Ave in MacArthur. In the car was Dalton Blankenship of Tazewell, Virginia and Cassandra Hale of Odd. The two were reportedly in a stolen car with a stolen license plate. Inside the car, deputies said they found 90 doses of methamphetamine and $1286.00. 

Blankenship is charged with felony possession of stolen property, possession with intent to deliver meth, felony conspiracy and driving revoked for DUI. Hale is charged with possession with intent to deliver meth and felony conspiracy.

The traffic stop resulted in a search warrant at a home on Mills Ave where deputies found black tar heroin and a gun. Joshua Abren.was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and also for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant through the Beckley Police Department.
