RALEIGH COUNTY, W. Va. (WVNS) — A Mac Arthur man is in jail after troopers said he broke into a home, pulled out a knife and then kissed the homeowner while he was intoxicated. 

Troopers said the responded to the home on Sunday, January 14, where they found Larry Paul Ward Junior.  Troopers said Ward smelled of alcohol and was yelling expletives. 

The homeowner told troopers she was cleaning the house when Ward walked into her home.  The victim said Ward pulled out a knife from his pocket and then grabbed her by the hips and kissed her.

She said she was eventually able to get Ward out of her home, but he then started kicking and head butting the front door to get back in. 

Ward was arrested and is charged with burglary, brandishing, battery and obstructing an officer.  Ward is in jail on a $25,000 bond.
