The Women’s Resource Center in Beckley is hosting a Color Run/Walk for Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April. Advocate at the Women’s Resource Center, Samantha Lilly, said Sexual Assault Awareness Month is an opportunity to spread awareness, support survivors, and stand together as a community against sexual violence.
You can run or walk the 2K course on April 13 at the Beckley Rails to Trails.
“It’s going to be a good amount of information sharing, a little bit of bringing awareness to the community about such an important issue and it’s going to bring a lot of momentum,“ Lilly said. “I think it’s going to build it in a good direction,“
Registration is free and starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Prince Street Pavilion across from the parking garage. If you’re interested in volunteering you can contact the Women’s resource center at (304) 255-4066.
