The YMCA of Southern West Virginia is giving locals a way to burn off some calories before eating Thanksgiving dinner.
The organization will host its 42nd annual Thanksgiving Day Run at the Paul Cline Memorial Youth Sports Complex.
Director of Health and Wellness, Megan Clackler, told 59 news participants have made it a family tradition for years by choosing to run or walk five miles, or to complete the one-mile Family Fun Run
“A lot of families come out do it together, Clackler said. “It’s fun just to get up and get active before you can go home and relax the rest of the day.”
It costs $25 before November 20 and people will be guaranteed a Thanksgiving Run T-Shirt.
Registration begins at 7 a.m.
