The REACH Family Resource Center in Hinton had a Halloween celebration on Wednesday.
The organization had a Halloween Playgroup for infants and children up to age five. Kids got the chance to decorate pumpkins, paint witches and ghosts, and play.
Interim Executive Director, Samantha Jones, said this is a way for children and parents in the community to come together.
“Children this age don’t really have a lot of opportunities, if you don’t have children in your family this is a good time for them to learn to play with other children. To socialize with other children and it’s a great time for parents to come together and be supportive of each other,” Jones said.
These playgroups are held monthly, and times and dates can be found on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/REACHH-FRCChild-Advocacy-Center-179570038755463/.
The group will also be having a community Thanksgiving dinner on November 16, from 5-7 p.m. at the Summers County Memorial Building.
