HINTON, W. Va. (WVNS) — After responding to a home invasion Tuesday morning, Hinton Police have a good tail to tell!

Police said around 7:50 am they were called to investigate a home invasion on 2nd Avenue in Hinton.

Their suspect turned out to be a whitetail deer! Officers said the deer jumped through the front window of the home, took a tour and then ran once police arrived.

Hinton Police decided to have some fun with the story and posted the story to their Facebook page.

Officers said nothing was stolen and thankfully no one was injured.
