People will get a chance to give back to the community while hanging out with their pets.
The Summers County Humane Society is holding its annual 5k dog walk at Bellpoint Park in Hinton. Anyone with pets is welcome to come out and help raise money for the humane society.
Cheryl Miller the President of the Humane Society said it’s a great way to spend time with your pets and give back to a good cause.
“People from all ages can sign up. It’s a free event. And everybody gets a t-shirt everybody every dog gets a bandana. And we just walk to promote spay and neuter,” Miller said.
Registration for the walk starts at 9 a.m. the morning of Saturday, May 12, and will last until noon.
