Lane blocked on I-64 after semi-truck rolls over embankment

A portion of I-64 eastbound is blocked after a semi-truck rolled over an embankment.

Raleigh County Dispatchers told 59News the accident happened at mile marker 139 on I-64 around 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 9. The driver reportedly drove through a guard rail and rolled over a steep embankment. Dispatchers said the driver sustained minor injuries.

Evergreen Environmental Management was contacted for possible fuel spillage. 

West Virginia State Police and the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call, along with Ghent EMS and JanCare Ambulance. Green Sulphur Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
