Mudslide closes part of Route 20 in Summers County

9;00a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 UPDATE: The DIvision of Highways has reopened Route 20.

Part of Route 20 near Hinton, Summers County is closed due to a mudslide.

According to the Division of Highways in Summers County, Route 20 is closed between the intersection of Route 3 and Route 20, and the Bluestone Dam. 

Dispatch told 59 News the road will be closed for an extended peiod of time.

The DOH is advising all tractor trailers to avoid Route 20 when coming into Summers County. They say to take U.S. 460 to get around Route 20.
