HINTON, W. Va. (WVNS) — A Summers County woman was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly stalking another woman for more than half a year.
Summer’s County deputies arrested Glendy Africano of Beckley.
The victim told deputies the stalking first started in August when Africano showed up at her home and asked to come inside. Africano reportedly told the woman she was her boyfriend’s counselor and was having a sexual relationship with him. The victim also told deputies Africano demanded she leave her boyfriend or Africano would kill her and her family.
When the victim asked her to leave, Africano allegedly pointed a gun at her. She eventually left an hour later.
Court documents state over a course of 9 months, Africano would call the victim and randomly show up to where she worked. The woman reportedly had to quit her job in fear of being hurt or killed by Africano.
Africano is charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm, unlawful restraint and stalking. She’s being held in jail without bond.
