The West Virginia House of Delegates has passed a bill that gives 5% pay raise to teachers, school personnel, and state troopers.

The bill passed with a vote of 89 to eight.

Teachers went on a statewide strike for two days this week, but are now back in the classroom.

The bill now goes to the West Virginia Senate.

Some worry that controversial amendments allowing charter schools and education savings accounts could be attached in the Senate
