Education union leaders announced West Virginia teachers will be back in their classrooms, Thursday, February 21.

The announcement came during a press conference Wednesday evening. Union leaders applauded members of the House of Delegates for officially killing SB 451, the comprehensive education reform bill.

Members of the House of Delegates also held a first reading of HB 2730, which would provide a pay raise for state police, public school teachers and school service personnel.

The House of Delegates will hold a public hearing for HB 2730 at 8 a.m. on Friday, February 22.
