3 car accident shuts down Route 97

January 28, 10:00a.m. UPDATE: Route 97 has reopened.

According to dispatch, four people were transported to a local hospital. There is no word on the extent of their injuries.


BAILEYSVILLE, WV (WVNS) — Route 97 is temporarily closed due to a 3 car accident. 

Dispatchers said the accident happened in front of Baileysville Elementary and Middle School around 8:30 a.m. Monday morning. 

Officials said 3 cars are involved in the accident. No word on injuries at this time. 

Brenton Volunteer Fire Department, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Deputies, Jan Care Ambulance and and STAT EMS responded to the scene.
