Fourth person arrested in connection to body found in Wyoming County

A fourth arrest was made in connection to a body found in Wyoming County.

According to Wyoming County Prosecuting Attorney, Mike Cochrane, Brittany clay was arrested for conspiracy to dispose of human remains. 

Clay was transported to the Southern Regional Jail.

CAMPUS, WV (WVNS) — A third person has been arrested in connection to a body found in the Campus area of Wyoming County.

Wyoming County Prosecutor Mike Cochrane tells 59 News Curtis Langford Osborne was arrested Saturday, June 16th, 2018. Osborne was already in jail for crimes he committed out of Logan County. 

Osborne is charged with Concealment of a Deceased Human Body and Conspiracy. Billy Ray Hurley Jr. and Stephanie Lea Hunt are also facing the same charges.

Hurley is charged with concealment of a deceased human body and conspiracy. Stephanie Lea Hunt is also facing the same charges. 

Officials said they believe the body is of Gregory “Whitey” May.  Whitey was reported missing by family members on May 30. 

The body has been sent to medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.

CAMPUS, WV (WVNS) — A body found in Wyoming County is believed to be of a missing person, according to county officials. 

West Virginia State Police found the body on Thursday, June 14, 2018 after receiving several tips. They believe the body is of Gregory “Whitey” May.  Whitey was reported missing by family members on May 30. 

Stephanie Lea Hunt from Cyclone has been arrested in connection to the case. In an interview, Hunt told troopers Whitey came over to a family member’s home on May 26. She said Whitey laid down in her bed and when she went to check on him, she noticed his mouth was open and he wasn’t breathing. Hunt said she, with the help of another man, hid Whitey’s body in the Campus area. 

The body has been sent to medical examiner’s office for an autopsy. Wyoming County Prosecutor Mike Cochrane said detectives are still conducting interviews and more people could be charged in connection to this case.

Hunt is charged with concealment of a deceased human body and conspiracy.  Cochrane said further charges may be pending. Hunt is in jail on a $20,000 bond.
