Pineville Municipal Water sent out a letter on Friday June 15, which gave the community of Pineville a notice about missed water testing days.

Corbet Justus with Pineville Muncipal Water told 59 News that the letter they sent out on Friday was a requirement since the samples they sent to Charleston were received a little late. They did the testing, but the office in Charleston did not receive the samples on time.

Linda Phillips, Mayor of Pineville, said they followed all of the rules when it came to water testing.

“So we again submitted the reports asking for a waiver of that violation because we had submitted it and we had proof we submitted it. Charleston still said they did not have it and so therefore they are making us send these letters out. All of the test were done. All the test were done on time. There is nothing wrong with the water,” Phillips said.

Mayor Phillips said the chemical levels are low and there is nothing to worry about.
