Donating a toy can help a family this holiday season.

Wyoming County community members are holding the 20th annual Toy Fund to help underprivileged families this Christmas.

Returning and new volunteers will be cleaning and distributing everything from old and new toys, to bicycles.

Toy Fund Chairman Todd Houck told 59 News the event is still being held even though the Toy Fund lost founding organizer, Joe Bullington, this year to a long term illness.

“It’s just the holiday to me. It gets us all going,” Houck stressed. “Christmas isn’t Christmas without the Toy Fund, just seeing those volunteers faces light up and those shoppers light up it’s become my Christmas for the last 20 years.”

New toys can be donated to any bank in Wyoming County, and old toys will be collected and cleaned by volunteers at the Old Pineville Grade School. The official Toy Party will be on Sunday, December 16.
