PGA Pros tee it up with local first responders on Old White TPC

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WVNS) — The PGA Tour made its way to White Sulphur Springs for A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier. Monday at the tournament provided the golfers an opportunity to get in a morning practice round, followed by an afternoon Pro-Am featuring local first responders and members of the military.

The event began with a shotgun start, and the team on the first tee was headlined by non other than John Daly. Daly has played in every Greenbrier Golf tournament dating back to 2010.

Daly said events like these make the game that much more enjoyable for the Amateurs and the Pros.

“I’ve always looked at the Pro-ams as some really cool people that appreciate your game, as much as we try to help them. You get relationships, whether it’s business or friendships, either one is good with me,” Daly said. “We just make sure they have a good time, because that’s what it’s all about. Without them, we don’t have a tournament.”

A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier will hold another Pro-Am event on Wednesday, September 11, and will feature celebrities, local amateurs, and some former members of the military.
