State Fair of West Virginia adds two bands to the 2018 concert series

FAIRLEA, WV (WVNS) — Officials with the State Fair of West Virginia have announced two more bands joining the line-up to the 2018 concert series.  The additions include Luke Combs and MercyMe.

Luke Combs is scheduled to take the stage on Thursday, Aug. 9.  MercyMe, a contemporary Christian group will perform on Saturday, Aug. 11. 

“We are very lucky to get each of these artists,” said State Fair CEO Kelly Collins. “Luke Combs was the 2017 Country Music Association’s New Artist of the Year, while the Grammy nominated MercyMe has a movie being released shortly based on the story of the song ‘I Can Only Imagine.'”

Tickets for both of these shows will go on sale Friday, March 9 at 10 a.m.  Right now they can only be purchased by calling 1-800-514-ETIX (3849) or by visiting the State Fair of West Virginia’s website.  The State Fair Box Office will open in the spring.
