UPDATE: Thursday, March, 3 2023 @ 4:53 PM | LEON, WV (WVNS) — According to the National Park Service, it is believed that Agnieszka Drelich-Smith committed suicide.

NPS officials said they think she parked her car on the New River Gorge Bridge and jumped.

Drelich-Smith’s body reportedly traveled more than 100 miles from the New River Gorge to Leon, West Virginia in Mason County.

It is thought that that high waters experienced in the region over the past couple months contributed to her body being found such a far distance away from the New River Gorge Bridge.
