CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) — The West Virginia Secretary of State was part of a recent briefing with federal intelligence officials. As a result, he is hosting a news conference on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020 to discuss the election cybersecurity.

According to a release, activity by foreign entities was discovered. The goal of this action was aimed at disrupting the 2020 General Election.
